Hi everyone, for those who are looking at the numbers on the scale, computing the losses and then asks, “Am I losing enough?” or “I’m losing too little, is the HCG diet really effective?”, I am sharing you some wisdom here that could help you understand why you might lose slowly or too little.
One of the important point that you should know when doing this diet is that the HCG will only help you get rid of “abnormal fats”. That said, this diet will help you get to a healthy weight and also help you develop a healthy eating habit. This is not the solution if you want to get really skinny – or way below your ideal body weight.
On average, the HCG diet could help you lose roughly a pound per day. However, those who are extremely obese will tend to lose more than those who are just a few pounds above their ideal weight. This is mainly because extremely obese people have more abnormal fats to lose.
So don’t fret if your weight loss rate slows down when you’re trying to shed the last few pounds before hitting your ideal weight. Keep going. Even a small, slow loss on your weight is still a loss.
Happy losing! =)July 7, 2020 at 5:21 pm #539
My weight has stalled for 3 days yet I’m only on day 12 of this round. I’m not sure what to do. I’m getting discouraged. I haven’t even cheated.July 7, 2020 at 5:28 pm #540
It is normal to experience a stall when you get to your second week. You could try to cut out the melba toast and one fruit in your daily diet and see if you are able to get off the stall. Some dieters experience less stall when they skip the toast. Best of luck!December 8, 2020 at 1:16 am #832
Years ago, when I did some other diet to lose weight, I was drinking diluted apple cider vinegar with ginger. I’m planning to take it again when I do the 500-calorie diet. Is this okay?December 8, 2020 at 1:23 am #833
Yes! That is a nice idea. You can take it during the phase 2 of your diet since both ginger and apple cider vinegar are included in the allowed spices/condiments during P2. Therefore, adding them in water to drink is fine. Oh, btw, this will also be counted towards your fluid intake for the day. =)December 8, 2020 at 1:26 am #834
I’m glad it’s allowed. Another question, does the HCG protocol only allow fresh ginger to be used?December 8, 2020 at 1:32 am #835
You’re not limited to fresh ginger. You are actually free to use either fresh or dried ginger depending on your preference since the manuscript is not specific on whether the spices need to be fresh. However, if you do choose to use processed spices such as the dried ginger, or blended ones, it would be best to check the label to make sure that it hasn’t been blended with sugar or starch because some condiments do contain this and this may cause your calories to spike.December 15, 2020 at 3:03 pm #869
It seems that HCG drops are not that effective to me. My loses are very poor right now even if have been following the protocol and have resisted cheating. So I’m planning to switch to injections for my succeeding days. How do I do this? Should I be skipping a day before I do the switch?December 15, 2020 at 3:08 pm #870
You could definitely do a switch to injections if that is your case. There are some dieters who lost better when doing the shots. When switching from drops to injections, there are no special instructions. You simply switch the next morning. Skipping a day is not necessary. Hope your loses improve. Best of luck! =)
